10 & 11...

Dax Man is freaking me out.

Here is a picture of our little rock star with "Le Dog" from ten-months.

And here are a few of my attempts at getting his picture with the dog at eleven-months. These so eloquently show why he is referred to as "Little Wrigley" - he is the wiggliest, squirmiest, "can't sit still baby boy" in the entire land. And he secretly revels in holding that title.

And here we are... one month away from wishing him a Happy First Birthday!

But since fighting it or questioning it is futile, I'll simply share what Dax is up to these days....

-Scaling Stairs like a seasoned Everest climber.

-Saying Dada most often but throwing in Mama and Ball and Baba to shake it up.

-Flashing his dimpled grin with his six teeth... four on top and two on bottom. A little Billy-Bob-esque which makes them all the more adorable.

-Crawling and Creeping - he will pull himself up and out of anything. I know this from experience... he has now dived in to and out of the bath tub and he does laps around the living room. He is so stinkin' close to walking it's scary.

-Cruising outside in the walker with his bro and the other kids in the hood.

-Eating anything he can get his little fingers on.

-Giggling mercilessly at his brother and mimicking nearly all of his brother's crazy sounds.

-Sleeping like a champ which Mama has always appreciated and always will.

-Adoring his little mug in the mirror, or the tv, or a window. He is so entirely vain and it is fantastically awesome.

-Waving, but only to those he really, really loves, like Grandma.

-Doing headstands and other "tricks" in the bath tub. He's a little agile thing full of stunts that surprise even himself.

Bottom line - we have ourselves another little love in our lives and he is a cutie-patootie. Where his first year went, I will never know...
