School Lunch and Label Makers...

I am knee deep in organizing.   I caught the New Year bug and this place is morphing into an Army General's home of dreams.  Cupboards are tightly organized and labeled and drawers are sporting new Ikea dividers full of like sorted goods.
It's kind of the stuff that OCD dreams are made of - just as me or Kaelster who has been complimenting me on my "really or-gag-nized" drawers can attest.
But that leave my kids... a little less "attended to" than usual.

So, amidst my cleanse, we made a much needed outing to, where else... School Lunch!
Ha Ha - Apparently it's cool to have your little mini cousins come visit you at the cafeteria at school.  Alli definitely played the part of "older, wiser cousin celebrity" like a champ.
And Dax, true to form, commented unabashedly to a little girl across the table,
"Whoa, you're cheeks are 'cubby'!"
Other than that...
These guys ate it up... not the rice and chicken, but everything else.  :)
For the record I had to have two mighty third-graders go collect these two from the boys bathroom where they were chasing one another in a nasty game of hide and seek.  Sigh.
But they sure are cute together when they decide to be buddies.

And hey!  Baby Emeri was there too!  And her little adorable self just took it all in like a champ and let me tote her around on my hip in hopes that immaculate conception could once again become a reality.
You're reading this, right Ryan?  Just checking.
It was fast.  It was furious.
And it was a much needed break from an otherwise "organizational overload" January day.
Next up - Winter Swim Lessons.
Also known as "that one time Ace Face threw a punch at his swim instructor" and had to sit in time out for an hour in the corner of the pool thanks to his mean mom.
He's in full beast mode lately if you haven't already gathered...

Wow, that looks like quite the school lunch par-tay! It is a bummer that Ace is in Beast-mode. They all have their days, I guess (or weeks, or months...years?) Good thing they are so dang cute, it is a brilliant defense mechanism.
