Two-Twos...

He's two.
I can't believe it.

We are the proud parents to two, two-year-old cutie patooties and it makes my head spin. But that is a side note and this day, MAY day, is all about our little Daximus.

The rock star with the bad a$$ hair and the ski slope nose and the adorable little muscle man legs and the profile of his daddy and a fearless affinity for high places and fast speeds and the need to spread the love in his Romeo fashion.  Yep, Dax Man amazes us.

Here are just a few of our current obsessions....

His Speech... I have never heard a two-year old boy speak and enunciate like Dax does. The other day all the older neighborhood boys gathered around Dax and his "tractor" and were asking him to say silly things.  Like, "Preston's awesome" and "I like candy" and "I'm so cool."  And they all just wracked their brains to think of more "stuff" for our little parrot to say because he says it in this little tiny voice but CLEAR as day.  It's so amazing and hearing him say, "What up Gangsta" just always makes me laugh.  He's going to be a great spin doctor for some corporation or political candidate someday OR he'll replace Conan O'Brien in the land of late night.  That little boy can spit out some big boy words.

OKAY.  This is his latest thing and I heart it so much it makes me smile inside and out.  I'll say something like, "Do you want some more cereal?"  And he'll say, "OOO Kay."  Every time.  He never says yes to affirm something - it's always OK.  Like, "Do you want to go outside and play with Kael?"  OOO Kay." It's to die for.

His Love of Balls, Dogs, Cars, Trucks, Moto-cycles, Airplanes and Shoes.  Random but true.  These are a few of Dax Man's favorite things.  And the car thing - it ain't goin' anywhere and already RyGar is talking about how he and the boys will have to work on some old muscle car together since they love cars so dang much.  Nice how that worked out for Ryan, eh?  Daxi sleeps with a car in each little paw every nap and night time.  He can identify the sound of a plane or a motorcycle before regular human ears detect it.  He is a motor head. And every day I have to pry his little hands off of a steering apparatus of some little ride along toy.  EVERY SINGLE DAY.

The way he says, "Kisses" and sticks his little smiling face, chipped tooth and all, through the stair rails... every last one of them.  Like I would ever say no.  Like anyone would ever say no.  That boy is a lova boy.  He has every female he comes in contact with wrapped around those little tan fingers and he knows it and he works it.  He has also taught Kael that when you get in trouble, asking for a hug and a kiss can get you out of nearly any punishment.  Dang those little smarties.

He is our agile little runt.  What he lacks in size he makes up for in coordination, speed and sheer agility.  He can catch himself from a fall, miraculously balance himself in a faulty situation, run like the wind, pumpin' his little arms to keep up with his big brother and climb any and everything.  This keeps us on our toes.  Literally.  And while we're so glad he is healthy and has a natural inclination to use his little body... it is taxing on ours.  :)

On Saturday our families will zoom on over to celebrate with Dax.  The littles will take their rigs through the car wash and the bigs will tailgate like we're at a big deal Nascar race.  Because, turning two... it is a big deal.  And Dax Man is a huge deal.  And we're gonna party to the finish line to celebrate our little two-year-old who is one-of-a-kind.  All week long.

Love you Daxi... "Love you All the Way"!

Good luck with your two two-year-olds. I gotta admit, I am sad that I have no more two-year-olds...my baby is THREE. You and Ryan do such a great job, you can tell just by looking at Dax (and all of them, really) that they are happy little kids.
