Well, this little crew of neighborhood rowdies wrapped up their first full soccer season.
It provided us with fantastic entertainment, seemingly endless amounts of treats, and a few moments of greatness amidst many moments of typical four-year-old magnet ball. A few times it actually worked and the rarity of those moments made them all the sweeter. :)
I've decided there are some major life lessons to be learned in little tike soccer. Like, sometimes when you're on the sidelines, you should just hang with some of your teammates for a good smile.
Listen to your coach and all those people who are cheering for you. The whole "score a goal for the other team" thing? Well, it may or may not have happened.
Number one soccer fan. Until next year. Hallelujah. I can't take the weekly wrestling matches.
Just get in there and do your best. Kick it. Whack it. Flip for it (if you're our neighbor, Liam) just show us some action. Eventually the rest of the moves will follow.
What you may lack in skill at this point, you can completely make up for in "game face". I mean, the proof is in the pudding, people. We would have had a perfect winning streak if their faces decided the final victor. It's a little Braveheart intimidation factor, you know?
Always be a good sport.
And have fun... our competitive edge will be sharpened with time... But it is, after all, just a game.
A million thanks to their patient and hard-working coaches!
