Friday was Summer's official kick-off here at the Gardner abode.
I know a few dudes who are pretty happy about the new season.
We started with these two hooligans' Preschool Graduation Celebration.
It was full of water guns and bounce houses and food and friends. With a side of "graduation tradition" in the form of a picture with Miss Amy.
The boys loved partying with each other and their friends. Dax was awarded the "Laffy Taffy Award" for always having fun while he learned. Kael was awarded the "Kit Kat Award" for always taking charge when Miss Amy needed a break. :) And Ace was awarded nothing since he isn't an official preschooler yet, but I give him the award for the best "Fall/Trick" on the bounce house. See below.
We followed up that par-tay with lunch and an afternoon gathering at our favorite duck pond with our fave girl cousins. It started out gorgeous and fun and ended pretty rough. Poor Haven got bit by a snake right on her little bare toe. Poor girl.
I thought I was scared of snakes.... she might be scarred for life!
And then, on our way home, luck would have it that cousin Zane called to ask us to meet him at the Splash park. Well, twist our arm. Off we went for our third extravaganza of the day.
I'll be the first to say it felt good to flex our summer muscles in a big way. And secretly I was happy dancing because I knew bedtime would come fast and hard for the little dudes and RyGar and I would enjoy the "Friday night experience" to it's fullest. Don't get crazy... the Friday night experience includes take out and a movie rental. But man was it nice and quiet for our viewing pleasure. :)
Happy Summer Boys! You've earned a nice long break!

Wow, that is a crazy busy day, but it is so worth it sometimes when their eyes close HARD as soon as their heads touch the pillow...ah, the wonderful silence of sleeping babes! Good job, but wow, you are setting a high bar!
