Not ready to emerge from the holiday hut we've built just yet, we're eating and drinking and playing and visiting with family and dodging three new trucks that run along the floor powered by little men ALL DAY LONG.
It was a magical, merry Christmas. Our very first all alone with just our little family together on Christmas morning. The magic was tangible. It was perfect.
Fave moments:
* The giggly excitement Ry & I share after all the Christmas Eve work is done. Before we fall asleep and our heads lay on pillows and we kinda just smile and feel our own excitement in anticipation of theirs? It's perfectly amazing and SUCH a dream come true to be parents of THREE little gents.

* Matching Christmas Jammies on the boys. Listen -The thrill never wears off and the cuteness factor is epic and I'll do it as long as they'll let me.
* The recognition that SANTA CAME! And little feet clambering into our room to announce "Whoa, there's lots of STUFF down there! C'Mon!" They're bleary-eyed and overjoyed and about to burst with happiness.
* The living room mess we refuse to clean up for hours after gifts are opened. We just shuffle our way around the floor, kicking balloons (a new tradition here) to the side and looking for whatever uncovered patch of carpet we can find to sit and feel pure contentment.
* Watching the grandparents and knowing they're so grateful to have babies around again to enjoy the holidays and watching our babies hyperventilate when their grandparents arrive.
* The process of discovering it all and taking it all in. That first gift is really all they need to feel wonder, but knowing that we can provide some extra just for fun? Such a blessing and so fun to watch them slowly move from one surprise to another... And unpacking the stocking? Fuh-get-about-it. :)
Our Christmas in photos:
Trucks and trailors and fishing poles and shovels and guns and sleeping bags...
Mingled with some super hero garb some tractors and some basketballs.
Do you think we have been blessed with BOYS around here?
Acey was slow to warm up as he was prematurely woken from his own little dream land of sugar plum fairies and other Christmasy things.
But once he opened these he was all over it. Stripped his PJs off and got right down to speedy business with the assist from his "Lightning Da Queen" shoes.
Believe me when I say the masks were an improvement over our typical Christmas morning looks... and you're welcome for that.
And then the paper really started to fly and the octave levels rose and the sugar from our "chocolate for breakfast" started to aid in a way that only works on holiday mornings...
And it was pure entertainment.
AND Just because he can't seem to mention it enough times...
Here you go, my gifted golfer, the official kind of acknowledgement of your amazing athletic prowess, (cough) luck, (cough) time spent on the greens. :)
And ending the day with bellies full of good food, another pair of jammies and a different set of Grandparents. BAM. Christmas done went full circle here at our house.
Blessed doesn't even seem like a big enough word.
Back to the holiday cocoon - 'til next year!
2014... No pressure, but you've got big shoes to fill.
:)
