Walks are always welcome interruptions to both the mundane and crazy. Sometimes we slip out the door unannounced and wander the neighborhood for an hour. Other times we make a big to-do, gathering mail keys, four-wheelers, strollers, whatever, & convince as many who will oblige to come with us just for a spin around the block.
And spring walks... I feel the new season even though the snow-to-tulip transformation is barely evident. I open windows, buy flowers, take longer walks, sidewalk chalk my life away and go on barefoot mailbox runs usually wearing some obnoxiously bright color.
And this one...
He is my silent killer when it comes to the "walk request". The living room is the stage, the walk request is the performance and dancing eyes with giant lashes are the star.
Just sayin'.
Just sayin'.
Walks. Or "rides" as they've been known as recently, have turned my little Saint Daxi into a dare devil who has such skill & dexterity on his four-wheeler I can't ever bridle my awe. If he gets stuck he shifts down and backs up and attempts a new route.
He slows to climb a hill or clear an obstacle, and he peers over his back tires when he gets bogged down, wriggling the handlebars just so, as he carefully calculates his next maneuver to free himself and ride off into the sunset.
He is the one who feels comfortable hauling around a neighbor buddy and he grins as they holler & sing behind him, but he remains steadfast and in complete control as he totes around his passenger of choice.
You might say he's got my number... My little Cap-ee-tan... A spring walk for mama with her best boys & a chance to watch this pilot fly across the blue horizon?
Yes Please & Thank You, Dax Man.

He is getting so BIG! Love the pre-existance story. Also Ace's room is so fun with the wrench and hat. And seriously you are a professional photographer and storyteller.
Love that little lion and those lashes!!!
